Homework Week of October 18-22

Note: HW is incomplete for the week and will be updated daily.
6th grade:
Goal for this week: Students will be able to write with adjectives and identify adjectives in sentences. Students will be able to draw connections between BNB and their lives.
Monday: adj flashcards; read for 20 minutes; bring in a picture of something "cool" and school appropriate
Tuesday: Read for 20 minutes; spelling Tic-Tac-Toe (due 10/29/09)
Wednesday: Read for 20 minutes; spelling Tic-Tac-Toe; 10 adjectives to describe your picture
Thursday: Read for 20 minutes!
Friday: Jazz music day!

7th grade:
Goals: Students will be able to write a paragraph applying the Thrilling Three topic sentence model. Students will be able to read and make predictions about the consequences which will happen as a result of the character's actions.
Monday: adj flashcards; read for 20 minutes; bring in a picture of something "cool" and school appropriate
Tuesday: Alabama writing thrilling three; read for 20 minutes; spelling Tic-Tac-Toe
Wednesday: 10 adjectives for your picture; read 20 minutes; character webbing
Thursday: Read for 20 minutes!
Friday: Bring in toilet paper or paper towel rolls for totem poles

8th grade:
Goals: Students will be able to apply the four-square model when writing Thrilling Three paragraphs. Students will be able to read for connections between their lives, the book, and the world around them.
Monday: adj flashcards; read for 20 minutes; writing thrilling three and 4-square on What is your favorite color? or What is your favorite sport?
Tuesday: read for 20 minutes; spelling Tic-Tac-Toe; character web
Wednesday: read for 20 minutes; finish paragraphs with 4-square
Thursday: Read for 20 minutes!
Friday: Naomi Leon soap carving
